Were 8-track tapes really that bad?

Y'know a lot of people said it was the worse music format ever but is that so? Every format has its faults and does one really expect their tapes to always work if they're left in the sunlight/in a searing hot car interior?

my CDs work after being in my hot car for months. My old car had a cassette player too...haha.

Yeah i think some studio's actually still use old skool tapes and even some movie studios still use analog compared to digital because of the compression or something, i dunno something technical but what i remember is the days of the Walkman.

Yup, newer isn't always necessarily better. Anybody see the news regarding the concepts for new US cop cars?

The Ford Crown Victoria might be aging and had its share of faults but the new car designs are pretty weak (even the Aussie influenced one is blegh).

Oh the BluesMobile, i would buy that in a sec if it were for sale. That thing survived it all, Jumping bridges, running through shopping malls, rolling, more Jumping, falling in mid air LOL. Classic Car from a Classic Movie.
